Louis paints a pretty picture.

THE mural of the White Hart looking down Tavistock’s Brook Street towards the parish church has had a new lease of life thanks to local builder Louis Hodge. The artwork is a reminder of the time when the building was the White Hart Hotel, a popular public house in the town run by landlord Stan Goode. Mr Goode was a well-known businessman in the town who did a great deal of work for charity.

It is still possible to get a soft drink at the former pub, however, and a pasty, as it is now The Oggy Oggy pasty shop. The rooms on the first and second floors have been converted to apartments.
